How can we help?

My transaction was declined due to absence of 3D Secure, what is this?

Sometimes, a transaction may be declined because the 3-D Secure service is not activated on your payment method.
So, what is this service, and what should you do if you find yourself in this situation?

3-D Secure is an authentication protocol designed to enhance the security of online credit and debit card transactions. It adds an extra layer of protection by requiring cardholders to complete an additional verification step during the checkout process.

If a transaction with 3-D Secure fails, there are several steps a you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Contact the card issuer: Reach out to the customer support of your card issuer. Inform them about the failed transaction and ask for assistance in resolving the issue.
They can provide you with specific information about the cause of the failure and guide you on the necessary steps.

  2. Verify your authentication details: Double-check the authentication details you provided during the 3-D Secure process.
Ensure that you entered the correct one-time password (OTP) or answered the security questions accurately. If you suspect any errors, please contact your card issuer to confirm the procedure is correct.

  3. Use an alternative payment method: If the transaction continues to fail with 3D Secure, you might consider using an alternative payment method.

Therefore, first of all, we recommend you to contact the representatives of your bank and check whether it is possible to activate the 3-D Secure protocol for your card.
